Change of Plans in the Baby Dept.

Well, just as our adoption journey begins, there has been a kink in the plan. You see, aparently adoption agencies don't let expecting parents adopt. That's right folks, you heard it! The Bishop's are expecting another little one. Marie took a couple of pregnancy tests on Monday morning and they both came in positive. She then went to the Doctor to get a blood test and also have him check her thyroid levels. Well, yesterday the blood test came back 100% positive on the pregnancy.

The most remarkable thing about this whole affair is that Marie's thyroid, which has been a major concern over the past few years, is completely normal right now. She has been working with a nutritionalist in Mobile and evidently it has done the job. She will continue to work with him through the pregnancy in order to keep the thyroid functioning well. But praise the Lord! I can't believe that He has been so gracious.

We are both really excited, especially Marie. Connor is also extremely pumped about this. He can't wait to get a hold of his new brother. We keep telling him that it could very well be a girl, but he just says, "Naw, I don't want a sister yet." Marie is due in May and we are probably entering our 7th or 8th week. God is so incredibly good and gracious. This baby represents a lot of prayer and searching on our part and is a testimony to God's grace and mercy. If it is a boy he will probably be named Charles Luke, since that is the name we had picked for our next boy. If it is a girl, we will have to call her "girlie" or something for a while because we can't decide on a suitable girl name.

Anyway folks, Bishop now has two spawn. This may be more than the world can handle. Soli Deo Gloria!

Okay, its very odd to refer to your children as "spawn" but we'll overlook that. :)

Congratulations. I was wondering when you'd change your blog to reflect this great news! I CAN believe God would be this gracious to you. He does exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or imagine!

That is great news. I'm sure that Antediluvian Dogma would be very happy for you. I too am thrilled for you and hope that this child doesn't grow up to need a proof-reader like his pater. We'll be praying for a healthy pregnancy.

listen here, some of us have jobs to do and don't have time to sit around and write blog entries and harrass other people who are trying to be useful members of society.
